In a few years, you’re going to look in the mirror and you will not recognize yourself. This time you won’t hate the way you look. You won’t fear the unknown, and you won’t second guess every decision that you make. You are creative but have a hard time expressing it. You’re often misunderstood because of your constant need for solitude. You’re passionate but haven’t found your voice yet. You’ve been on this long journey of constant self-discovery while simultaneously wanting to live your life and feel like you’re not doing enough. You are. Life is not over. You’re in your mid-twenties but so what? Stop overthinking all of your decisions. Go with the flow and surrender to all of the beautiful things the universe cannot wait to offer you. Trust that in two years you will be in the best place mentally. Depression and anxiety will no longer win. You will want to live. I know you don’t want to right now. You will thrive and will finally want to let your creativity soar. You will allow yourself to enter spaces where you think you don’t belong. You will finally realize that the adversities and struggles you endure will all be some of the most important identity-forming experiences you will ever have.
A few things to keep in mind as it won’t be an easy road…
You deserve to take up space. You deserve to be heard. You are worthy of opportunities. You deserve success and happiness. You are loved by everyone in your life. Please stop shrinking yourself. You were put on this earth to flourish and shine. You will realize life is entirely too short to be restricted by insecurity, doubt, and resentment. Yes, you will fail at things, and yes, you will have a horrible time going through with plans that you have set for yourself. But understand that no one cares about what you do or what you make. What matters is that YOU love your passions and ideas and go through with them. That in itself is enough.
Releasing toxicity will be essential for your growth. You are not going to succeed if you continue to be around people who are not in alignment with your highest self. You will lose a lot of friends you thought would stick around longer than they did. Oh, the tears and the nostalgia you will go through. The confusion. The guilt. It was not your fault. Stop blaming yourself. “No love lost,” as you always say. If they are meant to be in your life, they will. If they want to be in your life, they will. The good news is that amazing people will enter your life to teach you new lessons and welcome love into your life. You will build stronger relationships with those who have have been around you. They will accept your flaws and love every single part of you. Your life will completely change, and as a stubborn earth sign this will be so hard for you, but please be receptive.
Immerse yourself in things that feel sacred to you. You have a calling and you know what that is. Use your gifts to heal yourself and heal others. If you are faced with opportunities take them. Ask your guides for direction but please trust your intuition. Your intuition as you know never steers you wrong. Be proud of your small victories. Celebrate yourself often. Make time for yourself. Stop overexerting yourself for those who will not do the same. You are going to do some amazing things, babygirl. I can’t wait for you to see and experience them.
Your 27-year-old self.
