As I stated before, I would attempt Joel Ostein’s 31 days of affirmations (which I have been posting on Facebook) and today’s affirmation calls for gratitude:
I DECLARE I am grateful for who God is in my life and for what He’s done. I will not take for granted the people, the opportunities, and the favor He has blessed me with. I will look at what is right and not what is wrong. I will thank Him for what I have and not complain about what I don’t have. I will see each day as a gift from God. My heart will overflow with praise and gratitude for all of His goodness. This is my declaration.
This week I am thankful for my new roomie. She’s actually my best-friends cousin and… she is wonderful. I forgot what it was like to have a roommate that had a regular 9 to 5 and was ambitious about life. We’re still very much getting used to each other but we slowly creating a system of what works and quickly figuring out what doesn’t. We find time to catch up and bitch about corporate America, discuss upcoming goals, and motivate each other between our beyond hectic schedules.
We both also have strong personalities so finding a balance will probably be our biggest struggle, but so far so good.
Not to mention… our apartment finally feels like home. She’s great :).
I am thankful.
