Current Mantra / Affirmation
This affirmation comes from the boyfriend as he did his best to help me avoid another rash social media hiatus. After this weekend and Beychella, the posts of needing to work harder, and my personal favorite, “We have the same 24 hours as Beyonce does” started to cause unnecessary anxiety and panic. I do admit, I am moving in a slower pace than I’d like to in terms of hitting goals and progressing through in life, but this pace… is right for me at this moment. It’s right my mental state and my workload. I wanted to remove myself from social media to avoid the added pressure, but I shouldn’t need to avoid social media to remember my journey is my own, and I’ll get to my promise land in due time.
So I’m working on being okay with where I am in the midst of everyone else’s journeys. We’ll all get there within our own lane, in our own time.
