i used to hate being labeled "bougie" because it came with a negative connotation. seriously, because i like nice things? but fuck it. ⁣⁣if being bougie means:⁣⁣⁣⁠

• having the ability to pour into my community,⁣⁣⁣⁠
• focusing on building generational wealth,⁣⁣⁣⁠

🍃 rest and relaxation sure do the mind, body, + soul good. i have quite a hard time turning off, but it was needed and i feel so refreshed. not only that, i realized my usual acts of self-care and self-love just weren't cutting it, so i've been exploring alternatives and relearning to love all things Yetti.⁣⁠

please do not take my current silence as forgetting what is happening in our world today. the fight continues for all of us, but what has become more than apparent to me in my line of work is that immense self-care and boundaries are needed. self-care because you can not serve others without serving yourself first. boundaries because they're needed to guard your peace. protect its magic.⁣⁠

i'm currently implementing both right now but wanted to leave you with a few tidbits:⁣⁠

- you don't need me or anyone else to remind you to care about and value black lives. if you are solely relying on influencers to spoon-feed you your next steps, you're doing this all fucking wrong.⁣⁠
