Break Ins, Work Overload, and Mental Breakdowns
YETTI YOU FAILED YOUR MISSION ALREADY. Look I can explain.
My apartment was broken into Monday … so blogging without a laptop would have been incredibly hard. Not to mention, I have been living at work this week due to our teams over estimation of bandwidth. YAY ME. I love 12 hour workdays and working on a Sunday evening, and a painful, painful week & weekend.
And the Mental Breakdown? I didn’t have one! With the police reports, rental insurance claims, the fear of there being an easy entrance into my home, I surprisingly managed to remain calm… with tid-bits of anger every now and again. I would like to take credit for this by stating it was simply because I have “grown up,” but… I don’t think that’s the case. Definitely influence from a few new folk in my life, not to mention I created a distance from everyone I knew that would freak out more than I did.
Honestly, I couldn’t have written “Shit Happens” at a better time.
But I am alive, and well, sporting a new laptop, thanks to a pretty incredible friend, so I can keep up with you guys once again.
Still trying to get back into the swing of things so I’ll leave you guys with this week’s goals:
- 5 day gym week – 500 calorie burn each workout.
- Food prep for the week.
- Stick to the meals prepped.
- Blog 5 times this week. (I have some fun stuff planned!)
- Record a video.

Sorry to hear about this. I’m glad that you are doing ok and I’m glad you’re weren’t there. Things can be replaced. At least that’s what I told myself when someone broke into my home a year ago. But it’s not about the things, it’s the fact that someone was there in your safe haven who wasn’t supposed to be there.. who wasn’t invited. I’m sure by now, you’re fine and you’re better.
Thank you! The only thing I am stressing about right now are my files for my non-profit. Everything was on the laptop they took so I am a little peeved about that. I am extremely annoyed that someone was in my room. I think that is part of why I feel so off lately… someone was in my space. But everything is slowly getting back to normal :-
