So Carly over from Hauls and All (and this post) so graciously reminded me that I have yet to complete my 25 by 25 list. Last year my 24 by 24 list focused on conquering some fears and living a little. This year I want to focus on living a lot. I want everyday to be a surprise and I want to be able to say “Hey, my 20’s were wild and crazy”. I definitely have the mentally unstable part down, but the wild part? I’m ready to let go and live life… slightly, maybe 2 inches from the edge. So without further due, here is this year’s list:
Mardi Gras in New Orleans: Don’t get me wrong I have celebrated Mardi Gras, but not in the city it originated from. Girls gone wild anyone? Just kidding! (revised)Inauguration! – check- Do a nude photo-shoot: Yes, brought this back from the list of 24, but I never really got to it. No, I am not striving to be in playboy, and nope, I am not trying to perfect the nude that’ll later on leak onto the web to jumpstart my career (again, kidding!) but I feel as though the day I can comfortably do a tastefully nude photo-shoot for myself, is the day I know I reached the goal of completely loving my body.
Take up Yoga (I’m thinking bikram?): Yoga and me do not blend… or bend. I am not flexible, I do not like the pain from the stretches, and I hate bare feet! But I have heard Yoga really makes you center yourself, and that it is relaxing, so I’m taking it up! –check- Run 5k / 10k / or Half-Marathon on behalf of a lupus foundation: This is another goodie from the list of 24. Only difference is that I now want to do it for a cause very dear to me and my family.
- Skydive or Bungee Jump
Have a day of silence– checkMake more friends in NYC: More friends = More things to do, more things to share, and new experiences.– check- Attend 3 bloggers conferences / events: I have been blogging for about 10 years now, ASSW’s being the longest blog I have kept in ever. I’d like to turn this passion into something a little more, hone my skills, and meet some awesome people!
- Hit 14% body fat: Self explanatory.
Kick this photography hobby into full gear: I have a gorgeous T3i Camera, her name is Carmen, and she doesn’t get the usage she deserves.– checkBecome a mentor– checkBecome a vlogger (yikes!): It started with a simple request to record my trip to London and record the Yettember festivities, but I think I kind of like it, although hearing and seeing myself on camera scares me (and maybe you too) sometimes. It also made me realize how high pitched I was!– check- Scuba Diving
- Travel outside of the America twice: I really love to travel, to experience different cultures, but I rarely go anywhere outside of the norm.
- Skinny Dip
- Meet 3 of my favorite bloggers: Almost there! Met Akudo from She’s Gotta Write It!
Reconnect with some of my father’s side of the family– check- Host or Speak at an event
“Put a stop to this constant cycle of suffering”: A personal Challenge from my friend Jessica– check
-
Get back into my “clean eating and training dirty” mentality:I honestly feel a lot better about.. well everything except for my hair when I work out consistently and eat healthily. I haven’t really been able to get into a routine while I have been here in NYC and I am looking to change that… again. Maybe bring back Work Out Weds / Weigh In Weds? Thanks Jazz.– check - Go to the movies 5 times on my own: I feel like such a lame doing this. There are so many movies I have missed out on because I do not have anyone to go with… and this never ending fear of being alone in the public eye!
Cook more often– check- Find some sort of grounds with a religion
- Again love all of me
- Be able to say that my 24th year was great!
You guys are more than welcome to hound me to complete this list, the more pressure the better! I’ll be placing it under the “Yetti and ASSW” tab so feel free to click on it from time to time to see how I am progressing.
Happy Tuesday Lovies!

Yayyy!!!! A new list!!! I’m a fan of numbers 20,7, and 22 !! Good luck Yetti! you can do it !! Oh and number 2 girl !? **snap snap** You better werk!!
LOL Sukari! I absolutely love you!
yay another person to hold me accountable. My male bestie is on my ass about it too. He told me that if I’m only able to accomplish half of these things, I’ll be a completely different person. Same is true for your list…:-) Love it
Yay, let’s do it!
I’m down to run the 5k for Lupus with you. Is there an event in NYC anytime this year? Also Skydiving and Bungee Jump?
There are a few! And skydiving with Francine! Yayyy lets start planning!
I started doing yoga last month and LOVE IT! I started with an easy level 1 course since it was new to me and did the heated yoga (mainly because I hate the cold). I tried vinyasa which is more focused on the breathing and not so much of crazy poses that require a lot of flexibility. I strongly recommend giving it a try 🙂
Easy level? For YOU!? Get out Tanya lol! I’m on day 3… and it’s okay… I can’t relax because I’m too focused in getting the poses down. Maybe I should try Vinyasa. Thanks lady!
Hey there, found your blog a couple of days ago from Hauls and All, love it, love your writing style and your personality. You can absolutely go to the movies by yourself. It’s so peaceful. I’ve done it so many times because sadly, I don’t have any close friends and my hubby can’t always come, besides he doesn’t like Gorky movies anyway. Anywho, good luck on the rest of your list. Make 24 your best year ever! It was almost 20 years ago for me, yikes!
Sheila! Thank you for loving my personality 🙂 you made my week! And I am going to honestly going to try and make this the best year ever! Thank you for the encouragement!
I love your list!! There are so many fun things! I especially love number 4, I have a friend who is battling Lupus. I have been wanting to skydive for about 2 years now, I’m just so scared! lol And I feel the same about making new friends in NYC. I live about 10 min away, I want to get out and do more and meet new friends!
Gah! You sound like me! lol. Well if you’re ever in the city…
I love lists like these, and yours is definitely bold and daring! My favorites are falling in love with yourself and going to the movies alone. There is something about spending quality time with yourself that trumps quality time with anyone else. And vlogging sounds exciting too! I’ve wanted to start vlogging too, but ‘m a punk with an annoying voice haha! Love your blog, can’t wait to read more posts!!
I’m high pitched, can you imagine how annoying my voice is going to sound?! Thanks for stopping by!
Love it! and you!
<3 <3 :-*
Girl! That’s interesting! I actually don’t live to far from New Orleans, and I spent my first New Orleans style Mardi Gras last year. It was fun! But I wouldn’t do it again simply due to the fact I just rededicated my life back to Christ, and there is nothing down there pleasing of God. I don’t even like the idea of bringing children out there. Although it was very fun for me. I’m just not ever going back, unless I’m married or something or going with a group of friends just to catch a couple of beads. Which, btw people will do anything for! It’s ridiculous. This girl with all her tail out was twerking at float for some beads and the sad part was, wuddn’t nuttin to twerk! Lol. Let me stop. Thanks for visiting my blog, sweetheart. 🙂
LOLOL Oh wow, sounds like ratchetness at it’s finest! Thanks for stopping by lovely !
Now I’m inspired to draft up a list!
Do it!
Love this list!!
i love the solo movies one. its one of my favorite things to do on weekends if i feel a need to actually leave the house. start with morning/afternoon shows, there are always lots of other people there alone.
