Just one of those days. One of my biggest pet-peeves is being under-appreciated by people I do so much for. So here’s a reminder to myself that there are others out there that appreciate my yetti-ness.
If only you could see yourself how I see you. I think you’re beautiful, both inside & out. You’re hilarious & personality is everything. [even in this shallow ass world]. With time you will develop a stronger self image and begin to love yourself even more =) – Qui
Yetti, this was a great post and series! I think that you definitely have the gift of openness- just from what you continue to post which is real, personal, and inspiring material that keeps me coming back for more good reading! Before this site, I had no idea of any self esteem issues you were having. I always saw you taking the lead, looking confident, and from the outside, I thought everything was perfect within you. But, it’s good to share that even those who seem content still have their own struggles and things they are continuously working on in themselves. I love that you’re not afraid to share your story and let people know that even though you have overcome much, you’re constantly working towards improvement. I’m inspired (as you can tell from this huge paragraph), but keep writing!! I know that if I’m touched by this, countless others are as well. – Tiye
Yetti! Your honesty is sooooo stunning. I read this in complete delight. I am so happy for you Yetti. The best thing anyone can do is to submit to honesty… with themselves. I need to get on your level. Still struggling with the ”you know what” situation and I dont think I have been honest about what is actually bothering me. Thanks for pushing me to a place of reflection. I love love love love you – Johnna
Yetti, you are a woman I admire and I know my daughter thought you were amazing too when you worked for me. I don’t know how you would manage it, but consider being a mentor to a young woman. You are everything moms hope their daughters will be. – Ellen
My dear Yetti,
If nobody else feels you, you know I do. We’ve had a few talks and even though I’m not completely on my own yet, people tell me I’m going in the right direction even though I feel like I’m not going anywhere right now. All we can do is be the best us we can be. Being in yours 20s is an amazing, yet confusing and frustrating time. I just wish we could make sense of all of it. Life is really a trip. SMH If you never need to talk one on one, know that I’m here. – Jaida
