+ Who writes your content and takes your pictures?
That would be little old me! Unless stated otherwise, everything posted is from my phenomenal mind, camera or phone.
+ Lady, what exactly are you? Where does ‘Yetti’ come from?
I’m success spelled with a capital Y, and I hail from a place where everything I touch and shit on is PHENOMENAL. Just kidding. Okay I’m not.
Yetti comes from Yetunde. I am 100% Nigerian, Yoruba Tribe, and I was born and half raised in the not so sunny (ever) London, UK.
+ Why do you blog?
Because I like to share my experiences. I like to story-tell. I like to make sense of the madness that is my life by writing. And because this is kind of my therapy.
+ What’s your day job?
Nice try. I actually get asked this a lot since I never expand upon this. My degree is within engineering, my current 9 – 5 is a combination of finance, web & mobile development and marketing, but my heart and passion is touching the hearts of millennial women everywhere (hey ladies! are you a certified 10?)
+ How long have you been blogging?
Long before WordPress and B2 existed. My first blog was built by moi circa 2004 with good old HTML, Paint Shop Pro, and a blogging tool called Greymatter. I’ve been at it for quite some time now 😉
+ What happened to AndSoSheWrites.com?
She didn’t make the cut! As a blogger (and writer) you evolve. I grew out of ASSW.com long before I decided to create YETTISAYS.com. I felt as though I was losing my voice to the old me people were so adamant on keeping present. So one day, I said ‘fuck it’ and bought a new domain name. It was time for a change, time for something more me… now. YS.com is a clear representation of me (hence the name) and own every thought that I share here.
But ASSW.com isn’t gone completely. Ah, don’t you love surprises?
+ Where did this mantra of ‘Who Gon Stop Me?’ come from?
HA! There’s a post about this, but I realized once again, that thoughts do become things, especially the fears you harbor in that overactive think tank upon your neck and shoulders. “Who Gon Stop Me” means exactly what it questions. If you’re gunning for it, no one, not a single soul, can stop you. Minus law enforcement and sometimes gravity. But you get the point.
